Saturday 14 October 2017
Come and join us for our Nuevo Workshop with Esther & Ron – the topic is ‘Barridas for Him & for Her’.
Tango Nuevo Workshop with Ron and Esther
Tango is real inner communication between the dancing partners.
It is about discovering yourself and your partner.
The enthralling music drives and inspires the two of you in forward motion as a singular entity.
Tango touches you deep inside.
The lead, the follow and trust between partners are the key elements of the dance.
In a friendly group environment our Tango Nuevo workshop will let you experience the inspiring feeling of spicing up your own dancing.
We will take some well known traditional tango elements and show you how to trick them up into Nuevo combinations. Previous tango experience needed.
The Swiss born highschool teacher has acquired her tango skills with the Swiss Argentinean couple Dani & Lorena Ferro, two professional show dancers well known throughout Europe.
Further dancing studies had her practising with many other acknowledged tango instructors such as Annatina Luck & Daniel Aranda, Rolf Schneider, Silvio Grand, Solange Chapperon & Rodrigo Fonti, Quique Miller and Nick Jones.
Living in Byron Bay she teaches Argentine Tango for Beginners and Intermediates every Wednesday at Ewingsdale Hall, she offers private classes at her private dance studio and regularly teaches Argentine Tango at the Byron Community College.
With her partner Ron she shares a taste for everything experimental and new in the field of Tango.
She not only likes how to figure out new dance moves but also appreciates all sorts of unexpected dancing places and enjoys the research for unusual tango music.
Her milongas are infused with an unheard alternative choice of music including Jazz, World Music, R&B/Soul, Soundtracks and Electronic.
Ron’s passion and ambition for Argentine Tango has been apparent from the moment he started dancing 15 years ago.
Learning from Argentinean master instructors Luiz & Karina Gomez helped him to establish a firm base in Tango.
Currently he teaches on the Gold Coast and Mount Tamborine.
He has performed at a variety of festivals and gala milongas in and around the Gold Coast and surrounding towns.
Ron’s style is a combination of traditional and show tango.
Together with Esther, he is travelling the world in order to track down new inspiration for what was once traditional Argentine Tango.
